ENGLISH SKILL -11

                             have/has will havd/shall have had
                                                                           
Terms used 
Subject : What we speak  about in a sentence is called subject. The subject may be  I/we/you/they/he/she/it, (he/she/it/they  include all nouns,pronouns,common nouns,proper nouns,collective nouns noun phrase  etc.)
Past participle : The past verb form of begin is began and participle form of begin is begun.
Wh word : What,when,where,how,where etc.
yes/no question: The question for which the response is either yes or no.
First person - I/we, - Talker/talkers
Second person - you (singular)/you(plural) - Listener/listeners
Third person - he/she/they -  Person/persons about whom we talk about.
Noun phrase  - The boys sitting on blue chairs  have good reputation ( bold letter sentence is a noun phrase)                                                       .

Pattern
I/we/you/they + have
He/she/it + has
(he/she/it include nouns, pronouns, common nouns, collective nouns, noun phrases etc)
She has a meeting tonight
They have class tomorrow.
Jim  has an appointment with the dentist next week

                                                      Will/shall  difference 
Shall and will are used to give some information about the future, they are also used for orders, promises offers etc. will means willingness, or wish or strong intention,  shall represents obligation. British people use shall and will without any difference, shall is normally avoided in American English. Shall should be  used only with the  first person (I and we).  In legal documents shall is used extensively as obligation/order.

                                                    Will/shall  + have usage
We may use this to talk about possession or state of being or relationship of people/ things etc. with ref to future.
Sentence Pattern
She will have a party tomorrow- Simple sentence, message/news
She won’t have a party tomorrow. (will not = won’t) – Negative sentence
Will she have a party tomorrow? Yes/no question
Won’t she have a party tomorrow Yes/no negative question
Where will she have a party tomorrow? Wh question

                                  had  usage
had is used to talk about state of being, possession, illness ,nature of people ,relationship of people things etc. with reference to the past .
Had is past participle form of have (Please refer session 10 for have explanation)


Difference between had and have

have a meeting today/tomorrow/next week
had a meeting yesterday

Simple sentence
 (message/news/information etc.) – subject + had + information.Sentence making  - pattern ( five types of spoken sentences)
I/we/you/they/he/she/it +  had + a party last night.
Negative sentence (message/news/information etc.) – subject + didn’t have + information.
I/we/you/they/he/she/it + didn’t have party last night. (did + have = had)
Yes/no question – Did + subject + have + message.
Did + I/we/you/they/he/she/it + have party last night?
Negative yes/no question. – Didn’t + subject + have + information.
Didn’t I/we/you/they/he/she/it + have party last night?
Wh word question –  Wh word + did + subject + information.
Where + did + I/we/you/they/he/she/it + have party last night?
NOTE: All the five types of above sentences may be uttered in eight or more moods of utterance.
He/she/ it/they   include nouns,pronouns,collective nouns,proper nouns, common nouns, noun phrases  etc.

Usage - context/situation
Yes/no question and negative yes/no question ( with I/we) are likely to be used in the course of  argument  ( to deny or argue on something.)
The likely users of wh word question type are absent mindeds and boozers (When they comeback to their senses.)
